Doyle and the fourfathers (21:00 - 21:30)
Originally hailing from Southampton, Doyle and the Fourfathers grew out of a project started by William to collaborate with his mates, Alex, Michael and Ben. Now an established band, Doyle and the Fourfathers combine a mix of excellent musical ability and poignant songwriting that's putting them on a path previously trodden by some of their heroes, Scott Walker, Jarvis Cocker, Neil Hannon and Ray Davies. At the festival they will be performing with a string section. |

DirectorSound (18:00 - 18:30)
Multi instrumentalist Nick Palmer started Directorsound in 1998 releasing his debut 'Redemptive Strikes' on Geographic in the UK and Felicity in Japan. Earlier recordings where then collated for 2005's 'Tales from the tightrope vol.1' for Japanese label Powershovel Audio and Dorset Paeans in the UK. After a series of low key CDR releases throughout the late noughties radio silence was broken in 2010 with the joint release of 7" single 'Before the March' and LP 'Two Years Today' on Swedish label Tona Serenad and Inpartmaint in Japan.
Live performances see Palmer employing a range of acoustic and home made instruments, often simultaneously to play out his pan-european, junkshop, circus folk stylings.
Seven years in the making, Dorset multi-instrumentalist Nick Palmer's second Directorsound LP is a crucible of junkshop esoterica: bowed saw, cheery banjo, barroom piano, Victorian dulitone, et al. Thus equipped, he navigates a jaunty, mellifluous path between chintzy folk, nouvelle vauge soundtrack and music hall vamp. |

Piggery Jokery by Hand to Mouth Theatre (12:30 - 13:00)
Piggery Jokery" is a whimsical perambulation through the seasons, touching on the circular nature of time, as told by the Green Man and his hurdy-gurdy playing Droning Crone and their troupe of rag-bag characters. There is plenty of laughter along the way as the old farmer tends his land and fattens his pig for the winter.
It is both moving and entertaining with resonances of ancient pagan ritual and dark humour.
It has an atmosphere of Dark Ages & New Ages which will captivate All Ages, particularly Middle Ages and Older Ages .... from little acorns to old oaks.
